We are collecting information on school travel to assist with long term planning and future strategies in and around schools. This is to help improve road safety, stimulate a shift to more sustainable transport and help reduce car dependency.
WSP
WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms. WSP are providing transport planning resource and expertise to East Renfrewshire Council in order to assist with the School Travel Assessment project. This includes analysing school travel data, coordinating street surveys and assisting with community engagement
Sustrans
Sustrans works closely with communities, the Scottish Government, local authorities and other partners to ensure that the people of Scotland have access to a network of safe walking and cycling routes.
Sustrans are the funders of the East Renfrewshire School Travel Assessment project through the Safer Routes to School programme
